World Cup Enkhuizen 2020-2021

The return of the mighty Eights to the Netherlands was delayed due to the global pandemic, but the hope remains for their eventual comeback.

The year 2020 should have been an amazing year — a year when the mighty Eights would return to the Netherlands after 25 years. However, the global pandemic changed that. Even a rematch in 2021 came too soon. Who knows, maybe the Royal Eights will return to the Netherlands in the near future. Hopefully, by then, the Netherlands will have a racing fleet. At the moment, only Falcon is racing internationally, and Varg III is racing nationally out of Enkhuizen. There are more Eights in the Netherlands, but they are still in the process of restoration or kept in storage. To name a few: Conewago, Ranja, and Hollandia 1.
