Coeur Vaillant 1e F 9

The famous 8MJI which was owned by Philippe Monnet. He learned to sail on this boat in 1976 and he sailed it in the first regatta in Europe in 1978: the "Régates Royales de Cannes."It was stolen in Italy in the early 1970's, left in Cannes. Then it disappeared again in Cannes in 1974 and was found between Corsica and the main land without anyone on board.Philippe Monnet bought the boat at an auction in February 1976. He was 16 years old and had never sailed before. He repaired his boat with care and sailed it for the first time without an engine, so no one could spot him. He learned more about sailing and sailed in Corsica, Greece, in the Transat en Double in 1983 where they collided with a whale and almost sunk the boat. In 1986 he finished in second place on the world championship 8 mR in Cannes.The boat has 2 berths.
