Cagg / S/Y ELsinore 8MJI on the rocks. Designed 1930 by Tore Holm - Back in 1982, her crew got seasick, lost control and abandoned ship and that dear old boat ended up on the rocks. In 1999, Lars Björk helped Fred Meyer and myself to buy the wrecked boat and we had her trucked to Portugal where she was restored. We used what we could, the lead balast, the cabintop, some bits and pieces but the boat was well beyond any kind of repair, but she certainly was worth saving. I gues that is what we did, she looked amazing, we enjoyed a few short seasons of sailing and then she found a new home. She was and is raced hard, she's fast, she's amazingly beautiful, she's Tore Holm, of course she is !The yard was Absolute Restorations, lead by the amazing David Vieira.
