History

Mirabelle AUS 8

nternational 8 Metre MIRABELLE was originally built as JUANITA, in 2012, as a development of the owner’s previous yacht JUANA. She is all you would expect in a modern 8m, with trim tab, wing keel, hydraulically adjustable mast control fore and aft. Runners, jumper struts and endless sail control in all.She launched in 2012, in Sydney harbour and was straight to the front of the 8m class, notably on the podium for the 2014 world cup in La Trinite, a hot bed for the metre class.Unusually for the metre class she has the appearance of a day sailor, but this has a notable amount of benefits, with a more modern deck layout and ease of use for other classic regattas, not necessarily just 8m class events. She was originally fitted with an electric drive that was replaced with a more common inboard diesel. This has now been removed but leaving the option for the next owner to either replace diesel, electric drive or omit entirely and sail as these classic metre yachts were originally designed, under her own steam entirely. For 8m class racing, Mediterranean classic regattas, or even some light day sailing, MIRABELLE is a real head turner, and trophy winner.
