Build in 1927 on the Clyde in Fairlie, Scotland this is a Fife with plan number n° 752.Built for W. Betts Donaldson, shipowner in Glasgow, she was named Cluaran in her first home port of Grenock.In 1930 when W.Betts Donalson and his brother had Falcon K20 build, Cluaran was bought by Mr Percy Westacott of Westminster working for the British Construction Company and changed port to Hamble.In 1933 Mr Henry Jauffret, member of the YCF and the SNM, imported it to Marseille, his name became Mugel IV, and joined the SNM.Its sails then bear the No. F 16.After numerous regattas on the RIVIERA the boat was completely restored by its new owner in 2008 and 2009 under the name Rainbow III.Classified as a boat of heritage interest in 2008 (BIP n°2008-034).on the list of yacht on the clyde Cluaran shows up being build in 1926, was this maybe here design year?
