YaramazS 34
History
One of the pearls of the archipelago, the beloved K-branded family boat Yaramaz is looking for a new owner. S/Y Yaramaz was designed by Henning Haglund and built in Neglinge in 1912. The boat has had the same owner since 1982 and has been managed by dedicated and skilled professionals over the years. She has been carefully renovated and maintained. The original drawings remain as well as some documentation of the changes made.Yaramaz was ordered by KSSS as the year's lottery boat and participant in the sailing Olympics under the name KSSS in 1912. She was taken over by the lottery winner, the Turkish minister in Stockholm Moustapha Chekib Bey, who named her Yaramaz. The minister took part in the world war and never came back to Stockholm. Yaramaz remained at the Neglinge yard for many years and was finally sold at an auction.Yaramaz - sailsThe Johnsson-Stålbo family bought her and sailed into the 30s (with an annual sail around Södertörn). She was re-rigged to a bermuda rig, ruffled and eventually painted white. The owners replaced each other and she ended up on the West Coast. Great decay during the 60s but some renovation was carried out in the 70s.Yaramaz21981 Lars Hagbarth and Jonas Wahlström buy the worn yacht in Gothenburg. The home sailing to Stockholm takes place in stormy conditions on Walborg weekend. A 12mR yacht from the same shipyard makes its homecoming at the same time and sinks in Hanö Bay.Renovation with a new deck, keel plank, staves etc. takes place gradually during the 80s. From 1993 she is fully owned by the Hagbarth family and is also sailed by the children Karolina, Martin and Johan with friends. The boat is K-marked by the Maritime Museum.
