Details
When Per Wermelin commissioned his second modern 8-Metre he, again, turned to Pelle Petterson. As Dolphin she immediately crossed the Atlantic to compete at the Great Lakes ending second in 1985. Since then, each time she changed name, she also won the World Cup. First in Helsinki, then in Sweden and in 1998 Geneva. In 1997 she was bought by Jean Fabre and underwent a major overhaul at the Djurö Båtvarv folowed by a new keel designed by Holland's Peter van Oosanen who tested the famous wing keel of Australia II, designed by Ben Lexen in 1983. Yquem is a proven superb light air performer and will undoubtedly make her way to the podium again.
